Our office in Huntly is the base for The Huntly Hub; a multi-agency project incorporating Gordon Rural Action, Job Centre Plus, Momentum, Enable, Barnardo’s, Home Energy Scotland, Aberdeenshire North Food Bank and a variety of other partners.
Gordon Rural Action offers a wide range of free, confidential, impartial and independent advice and digital access on a range of issues including Scottish Security Scotland Benefit applications, (Best Start Grants, Best Start Food Card, Carers Supplement, Young Carers Grant, Funeral Support Payment), Scottish Welfare Fund Applications, Universal Credit Applications and Journal updates, Warm Home Discount, Blue Badge Application, Housing Applications (e.g. Apply4Homes), Council Tax Reduction / Housing Benefit.
You can access our Supported Digital Access Service on a drop in basis, 5 days a week, 10am-3pm
Through The Huntly Hub you can also access appointments with the Job Centre Plus and our Partner organisations provide drop in Advice and Information. Aberdeenshire North Food Bank also has its Huntly unit within The Huntly Hub and Gordon Rural Action assist them by providing help to those in need with food vouchers and emergency food boxes
Gordon Rural Action can also assist in Signposting you to the organisation best place to offer advice, whatever your concern or issue.
We can help with simple debt issues and provide referrals for more complicated cases. We are currently unable to provide complex debt arrangement or assist in sequestration matters, if you need help in those then please contact one of the charities below.
